This area contains Hillandale Retirement Village, the Roleystone Fire Station, Cross Park, the Roleystone Hall, the Roleystone Neighbourhood Family Centre, the Tennis Courts, Basketball Courts etc. There are areas of bushland. Hillandale Bushcare was formed on 24th April 2001 after seeing the degradation of Cross Park Bushland, which surrounds Cross Park oval in the centre of Roleystone. It also encompasses Eskdale Bushland and Jarrah Road Bushland. Working in close association with Roleybushcare, these areas are treated for dieback disease on a regular basis and degraded areas are planted out each season. Grants from Swan Alcoa Landcare Programme ensured that a yearly programme can be carried out to maintain these beautiful bushland areas. Working also in close association with Parks and Gardens City of Armadale ensures that any problems arising within these areas are looked at and assistance given if necessary. Rubbish is picked up on a regular basis and bush monitoring detrimental to the environment is reported. Many people use these areas to walk, with springtime bringing a host of wildflowers for all to enjoy. Anyone wishing to become a participating volunteer of Hillandale Bushcare can contact Marjorie
