At the start of Conservation Week last 23 October 2010,  the Conservation Council (WA) and ClimateWatch launched the White-striped Bat (Bellwethers of Climate Change?) monitoring program.

This curious species is one of the 25 Western Australian climate change indicators selected by ClimateWatch.
