Fillingh the syringes at Eskdale Reserve

Now is the time to start injecting jarrah trees and other susceptible trees to ensure they don’t succumb to Jarrah Dieback.  One treatment every 5 years should keep them free of this killer disease.

There are commercial operators around but if you’d like to do the job yourself than come along to our next field day in Eskdale reserve and learn how.  We will give you a short talk on dieback followed by a demonstration.  You can then practice injecting trees with an experienced Roleybushcare volunteer, after which you are welcome to borrow our equipment to deal with your own block.

If you cannot come to one of our field days then see Sue at Roleystone Hardware. She hires out injection kits and gives practical advice on dieback and its treatment.

For more information about dieback click on the "DIEBACK" heading at the top of this page.

Our next field day is on Sunday 13th October in Eskdale reserve (park in Eskdale Street). We start at 9 am and finish around noon. There is more information above.

Note: If the weather is unsafe we will cancel so please check our website on the morning of the field day at 8.00am for any cancellation notice or ring Tim on 0431 424 199.
